Remington 870 20 gauge pattern

I ordered a Remington extra full the other day for my sons gun and the results are in. What do you all think. Federal Flite Control at 30 yards, 1 5/16oz, #5s put 131 shot in an 8 x 11 piece of paper. Best I can tell it put between 35-40 shot in the kill-zone. "roughly drawing a turkey outline on it."

Ive seen some crazy good patterns from folks shootin the same setup with the heavyweight 7s

My youngest is shooting the 3" 20 ga 870 this year, I will test pattern soon and see how it does as well.

i can't do that with my 835 maybe i need a diff. setup

I use to have the 870 20 gauge, and it was the best patterned gun I had. I could knock doves, and turkeys down anytime with that gun. I should have never gotten rid of it. Man those are great patterning shotguns
