As we all get ready for the Tn turkey season coming up , let's see if we can go an entire season without griping on this forum about how someone else goes about killing a turkey , and just be happy for them and thankful we all have the opportunity to hunt these critters! Good luck to all no matter how you get it done!!

I don't hunt turkeys anymore although I may go just never could get into it but this request is great ideal one we should adopt always . Kill them birds guys just be careful.

Yep, you'll need it. Because there's plenty of idiots out there crawling behind fans. Plus, there's plenty of others who are tired of that bs.

Sorry to have burst the pre-emptive bubble, but there you have it.
I know a couple guys who have had success reaping and they are pretty sharp and very accomplished hunters who just want to mix it up a little , never tried it myself but will when the right opportunity arises! Probably won't share the story on here due a couple other folks like you with that negative *** attitude like you are the almighty and if everyone doesn't hunt like you do then they are belittled, and you chiming in that negativity when not asked! Good luck to you and however you decide to hunt !

I have some strong feelings and opinions about turkey hunting and the ways in which some people choose to kill turkeys. But I have never "bashed" or criticized anyone proudly posting about a turkey kill. I have simply chosen not to comment many times. But IMO, when someone is celebrating a turkey, that is absolutely not the time to debate best hunting practices.

But if you want me to go an entire season without discussing the slow death of traditional turkey hunting in general, no deal. 😉

Ditto! I congratulate new hunters and especially kids every year and encourage them all regardless of how they are hunting, or how they find success. With that said, if they tag along with me, I will put them in a woods setting and expose them to my preferred way of hunting them. I will also give fair warning the turkey will likely win more times that not, but every day is different, so you just never know. It is the ultimate game of chess IMO, with extreme highs, and extreme lows.

I will agree to the terms.....during the juvenile hunt. If it's regular season I'm trolling reapers and full strut decoy folks with a no holds barred mentality.

That didn't last long. There has been some run off this form because they didn't hunt like some on here thought they should.

What if they try to stalk us while we are calling? That's the most common gripe I hear every year.

Again, I've never bashed or criticized a kill post. I may not offer an atta-boy, but if someone is proud of a kill I'm certainly not going to degrade it. Honestly, I can't remember anyone doing that, even those who are outspoken and unapologetic with their opinions. So I doubt that ran anyone off.

If anyone left the site because "they didn't hunt like some on here thought they should," I assume they were offended by general discussions about different hunting tactics. IMO, if they are that sensitive about it, they should just stay off the internet entirely. Or just post of facebook. God knows there are plenty of people there to agree with whichever tactic they prefer.

Lots of snobbery in turkey hunting. Kill them any legal manner . Best hunt I ever had was stalking a creek bed and belly crawl 300 yards across a field . Missed him but got him later that day and he had 6 beards . Good luck to everyone

Good luck to all and stay safe and legal. Just get out and enjoy it how you see fit.
