So I am not thrilled with the Octane rest that came on my assassin. I have shot it the past two years, but it is getting really frustrating. So I am looking at a new rest.

I have shot a WB prior and loved the full containment. Thinking this might be my next move as it is pretty much fail proof. But also looking at a drop away. One of my peeves is in the middle of a draw cycle or my bow sitting in my lap the arrow falling off the rest, so the full containment is almost a necessity. Been looking at the QAD HDX and the Ripcord as well. Any opinions?

Moved from the biscuit to the ripcord last yr. Never had any problems w/ the WB but when I bought my new bow, decided to try a drop away. Am loving it. It works great, every time. Good luck

I put a Ripcord SOS on my Monster last week. Unlike the standard Ripcord, the SOS is pulled down by the cable rather than a spring. I shot my first deer with it Sunday. I like it so far.

Since using the Montana gold inertia drop away rest in 2003, I have killed prob about 35 deer with it......never once dropping the arrow from the rest.......I don't understand why this is such a problem of fear among bowhunters?.......I never think about it.

Holds the arrow and no contact with fletchings. Works great on my Drenalin!

That is actually very similar to the Octane Hostage that came on my Assassin and I hate it. The brushes wear quickly and I have had 3 instances where the arrow has came out of the rest during draw. Luckily this was during target shooting. May be because I shoot the narrow Easton ST Axis.
