Reverse Hollow Base Wadcutters

I have ben experimenting with these. The deep hollow cavity promotes good expansion and the base aids greatly in penetration.

In both 41 mag and 45 Colt they expanded well in water, penetrating two full jugs and stopping in the third. The powder charges are moderate so recoil is light and accuracy is excellent.

I've loaded some like that in .38 but, never shot them in anything to test them for expansion. I do know that the Speer swaged 148 gr. HB Wadcutters, if loaded too fast will sometimes break into, going down the bore, and leave more than one hole in target.
