How do I fix this? My wife is going to start hunting with me this year and I hooked her up with a Matthews Jewl but shes shooting 5ft in front of the target. ugh I thought maybe a left handed bow or eye patch. Any suggestions?

Hitting 5 feet in front of target would have nothing to do with dominant eye.Maybe its not tuned correct?Maybe a new anchor point?

Aiming with your left eye and shooting a right handed bow would pull shots right or left. Not up or down.

learn to shoot left-handed. both of our boys are right handed/left eyed and both shoot everything lefthanded.

Agree with shooting left handed. I am cross-eye dominant(left eye, right hand) and shoot everything left handed with the exception of pistols.

And it doesn't effect my ability to shoot a variety of weapons.

Correct. I did not read that part. But my son learned to shoot with both eyes open in two days. Never had a problem after that.

Get her a left handed bow if she is truly left eye dominant. In the long run it will be better for her. She still should shoot both eyes open if at all possible. As for shooting both eyes open, some can't do it. I am unable to about 90% of the time due to the astigmatism in my dominant eye. I have to close the left to only see one target.

Shott with both eyes open. Won't take long to master it.

the dominant eye tends to take over. it was easier for them to learn to shoot with their dominant eye.
