Rio??

Check this out. My taxidermist said he killed it here. Beard and spurs looked messed up. But the coloring looks like a Rio to me.
 
I killed one bird many years ago that was colored up like a Rio Grande.

It also had huge, deep pink legs, with big pure black spurs. Huge head, and weighed 24lbs. 24 lbs is an absolute monster from the area that I shot it in.

I do not think it was a Rio Grande. Probably a wild turkey with somehow some Rio blood in it and possible domestic blood in it.
 
The Easterns in parts of Missouri look like that, but I've never seen a TN eastern with buff tipped secondarys. Pretty cool.
 
I don't they they're "Rios," just an eastern with buff tipped tail feathers. True rios are usually quite a bit more colored up than that one. Cool bird for sure though.
