I am ready for bow season. This is my first Robin Hood. Any body else got one this year?

i don't expect i'll ever shoot a robinhood as i shoot each arrow at a different spot. arrows ain't cheap!

I think I've only done 4 this year where they actually stuck together, but have ruined quite a few nocks and bushings and cracked a few shaft ends of ones that did not stick together.

It works a lot better shooting at different spots but I can't resist the temptation of hearing things clack when you know without a doubt you've "hit the spot". lol

I tend to avoid the expense of replacing damaged arrows by shooting at different spots . Robin Hoods are cool , but can become expensive . ;)

Had my first one this year , it was just luck it was only the second time i had shot this year, but fun to brag about it

There was a topic going on the mathews forum awhile back abot average group size at 40 yards...well I stopped shooting groups very often a couple years ago cause although it's fun...it's expensive! Well..4th shot at 40 yards.. It was fun though. :) Not sure how many hoods I have in all. I have a couple at 40 though.

Great pic Rickym. I usually shoot at different spots to protect my fleching, but I just had a string put on it and wanted to see what kind of group I could get. I didnt even have the peep anchored yet. It is cool, but expensive. First thing I thought would cool, then I though crud...that just cost me $15.

Make sure and write the date on your fletching.

I did. I always do that with anything I kill as well. I have one arrow that has 3 c's on it for coyote.

BTW just food for thought. I couldn't help but notice you said you were ready for bow season from hitting the RH. Back when I tourney shot a lot and really practiced a lot, I recall one year I shot 16 of them (that stuck together). I was "on my game" so to speak in shooting 3Ds too. Top 3 every shoot. You would have thought I would have been deadly in the woods. I stopped hunting that year because I had missed so many deer. Shooting a dot is one thing but shooting at a deer is a whole nother ball game. Shooting under pressure of a tourney is different than the rush of adrenalin of a whitetail standing 25 yds from ya. If only I could bottle that stuff up LOL that's the ultimate high.

I hear you, but for clearification purposes there is a period between "I am ready for bow season" and "This is my first robin hood". Being ready for bow season is emotional not tactical. When it comes to shooting I have nothing to brag about. (hope it wasn't taken as bragging)
If you learn how to bottle the feeling of a biggun walking in I'll buy the first bottle. Great thought.
What really makes me ready for bow season is my son shooting his bow. That is better than any Robin Hood. Thanks Crow T
