Roosted some birds this evening...

I had a chance to check out some local WMA land this evening. Got a location on 3 Gobblers at sundown. Sounded like a tom and a jake roosting together and then another mature bird about 150 - 200 yards away. Hammered at every dog bark and owl hoot. I have to work tomorrow so I called a buddy of mine that is taking a kid in the morning and gave him the location and where they were roosted. Wish them luck!!!

Good deal. A friend and I roosted a tom and about 8 jakes. We watched them fly up but they never gobbled. We did see the ol tom breed a hen just before fly up though.

Just got an update!!! Tate got is first bird after 3 years of trying. I didn't guide him to it.. but I did contribute a little.... makes me feel good!!! lol 20#, 10" beard, and 3/4 spurs. Nice 2 year old bird.
