Watched one light on a tree limb this evening. Did the same thing last year on opening day. Just hoping the limb isn't lifted by some Arkansas boys in the morning. [emoji1]

Good luck! Hope you have your video camera, just in case. haha

I watched him fly down and called him in right away. He only gave me 5 seconds of a clear shot before getting behind bushes and then headed across the holler. I'm on top of the ridge on the next finger over and he's hung up half way down the hill, just waiting him out right now.

He finally came up the hill, and only showed his head through the bushes...was about to give me a clear shot and then started heading back down the hill. May have to let him go and come back later to try and find him again

Was he following hens or do you think he saw something he didn't like?

he was by himself. I called him in twice, both times he showed himself long enough to have a look but not long enough to give me a clear shot. Then he went off across the draw towards private property

He has his degree now, educated birds are hard to kill.
he never saw me, just being a typical suspicious turkey.
