What do you guys think...Do you think it will be that bad of a year?

I mean JP has a decent team left from last year ..he is not starting quite like Butch Jones did.

Maybe it is wishful thinking but I would like to see them come out of the gates kicking butt.
 
Game 1 against West Virginia will be tough. The odds-makers have WV favored by 9.5-10 points. But then there are a couple prep-games to get ready for Florida. I don't expect a huge turn-around in year 1 on offense, but I do think the Defense will be improved under Pruitt.
I'm not a Tennessee fan, but I think 8 wins is a realistic goal/ceiling, but I don't think 6-6 is too far fetched either.
 
The schedule is brutal. He surrounded his inexpierence as a HC with some good coaches. May be this year but I say 7-5
 
Just taking the field will seem like an improvement. Win win situation lol. I think 6 wins this year and that should please the truest of fans that understand the sport. 5 wins wouldn't be the end of the world. Anything over 6 is exceptionable IMO

I see 6-6. Seen some fans predict 10-2 lol. To even get to 8 wins they have to win all the cupcakes plus win 5 out of 6 of scar, ky, vandy, Florida, wva, Missouri.

Scar and Missouri want be easy and Florida owns tenn whether they're good or bad. 2 deep is shallow so injuries could really hurt later. Seen where Tennessees SOS is #57. Don't agree with that. Middle of it is bout as hard as it gets
 
6 wins is my guess.

Utep, Charlotte, East TN st........3 wins

west Virginia, Florida (at home), south Carolina, Kentucky (at home) vandy, Missouri (at home)..... I think they find away to split these 6 games for the other 3 wins.
 
The WV game is huge. It they upset WV they should be 3-0 going into a home game with FL and a top 25 win in the bag. If they start out at 3-0 I think they make it to 4-0 then hit the hardest 4 games of probably any other school in the country. That'll play a big role. KY coach says they've got the best team he's had and Vandy has beat us twice. I'll take 6-6. We will win one we shouldn't and probably lose one we shouldn't.

Nobody knows. We don't even know who is starting at QB.

If we get behind a couple of scores early, the games will be over as I just don't see the offense doing much. Maybe the OLine has improved as many suspect.

I think the players quit last year, especially after it was apparent that the coaches had, so you really can't glean much from it.

The team will probably look a lot like Kiffin's did. And, if so, I'd be happy with that.

I hate that Saturday's game will be during prime dove shooting, but I'll catch it later.

I think what he is trying to say is this season could go either way. I don't think it will be real bad or real good. I am right int he middle. I think 5-7 but can see them getting to 6-6.

I'm with you on 5-7..... 6-6 could be possible if the running game is up to par. Trying to say it can go either way is like the weather man giving a prediction.... :mrgreen:
