But he would have caught a whole lot more bluegills. Went to a little twra lake. Didnt expect much. 4 hours- caught probably 50 crappie. All 9.5 to 11 inches (no big fish). Kept 25 crappie and 3 bluegill including a 10 incher. Caught 3 channel cats (all on 1.5" grubs) . They were about 2.5 pounds. Perfect eaters but we theew them back.
Most of the crappie were blacks, with a few black nose mixed in. Not a single bass. Great day. Sorry for bad picture. Packed em in ice before we left lake. Will clean em tomorrow.
Caught crappie on docks, open water, submerged brush but most were under tree limbs in 5 ft of water.
