s40 question please help !!

i just bought a s40,powered it up and i got a white screen.... so the guy tells me just tap the logo on the front it will work...well it worked my question is do any of yall know of these having the infamous white screen trouble,?? anyone had this problem with them?? do you think the cam will be fine or should i send it back??? thanks

I have had the same problem from the S40

I have one that the white screen has done that to me twice now in two years. Gentle tap and its fine again. I dont worry about it so much since it is an easy repair

If you got a good deal, id keep it. It wont be long until they will get harder to get ahold of too

Yes very easy fix ,Do not forget to cut the little tabs off when you pull the ribbon and clean it.
