Anyone else notice college officials are absolutely terrified to call a safety? Seems like every Saturday I see a safety that doesn't get called. Most times the play is so cluttered it can't be definitively overturned.

Yep that was a horrible call
Was also terrible when the official standing on top of the ball moved it back a half yard shy of first down of Miami fumble. Video made them correct it but it was obvious for him as he nearly tripped on it as it went out

The Pitt game was one but I see it every Saturday. They just will not call a safety.
