This is getting some pub because Harbaugh now highest paid, despite the best he's done to date is lose a Super Bowl against his brother. Still, I know Michigan fans think he's worth every penny (and based on the last 15 years I must objectively agree). Also something tells me Nick and Urban are smiling. But look at the rest of that top 10. Seriously? Only Jimbo with a somewhat recent Nattie and Stoops with a now long in the tooth one. The rest - come on man! Strong has to be in trouble with that salary and record. But will be costly to fire him and then Texas is paying two of those salaries. Interesting conference composition for the top 20. One PAC 12, two ACC, and three Big 12. Remaining 14 from the 28 schools of the Big Ten and SEC.

$9M..for what. I know he was a big name but he hasn't accomplished anything yet. Has he ever been to the NC, let alone win it.

I know they are undefeated, but who have they played? Wisconsin....who do they have left on their schedule that is worth anything..Ohio ST. So you play 2 tough games out of 12. Man, I wish TN had their schedule.

I don't think Texas is too worried about that -- the one thing they're not short on is money. Rumor was they offered Saban $10 million when they were wooing him. What Texas needs are boosters who stick to boosting and keep their noses out of the coach's business. Texas' biggest problem with getting and keeping coaches is too many multi-million dollar contributors who feel like their money entitles them to tell the coaches how to run their teams.

The one that surprised me the most was Notre Dame only paying Brian Kelly $1.6M. I thought ND considered themselves a big name program. Heck, Memphis is paying Norvell more than that.

Number 65 out of 128! And it appears schools 120-128 may not have responded, as I doubt USC and Miami (FL) are down there. South Florida, UCF, UConn, Memphis are all ahead of ND. That is a surprise. On top of that, how does Kelly attract and retain top notch assistants? Maybe ND has a very flat compensation structure where the head coach and assistants are all within a few hundred thousand of each other? I doubt it.

Pretty much sums up the big 10. Be careful because this can be a touchy subject.... :rotf:

Best regards, Rick

Confirmation bias much? :rotf: :smash: :stir: :moon: :poke: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

This is really getting weird, as now I'm defending Michigan.

Hey gator-n-buck aka Rick, I see where Michigan's strength of schedule is #18. Guess what's your Florida Gators SoS? 47th :rotf: :poke:

In my best George Costanza voice, "let's get nuts!"

What about future strength of schedule? Gators currently #47 :rotf: Future, they do climb to #11 (I guess they are going to start playing some SEC West teams). Tennessee is currently #6 (very respectable), but fall all the way to #73 for the future strength of schedule (yep, that all-powerful SEC East, quite the gauntlet). As stated, Michigan is currently #18 and climbs to #2 in future strength of schedule. Ohio State currently #8 and climbs to #4 for future.

Top 4 future strengths of schedule, in order: LSU, UM, Bama, Ohio State.

Man, you need to research confirmation bias because you have a severe case of it. :rotf:
