Me and a buddy met up at 4:30 a.m. on the lease, loaded up and headed across the LOOOOOOOONG field. At 5:15 we were set up, him looking left and me looking right. We were hidden perfect. At 5:35, we hear the tree yelps, then the fly down cackles, and three hens pitched down in the field at 80 yds. Then, the sound of wing flaps, and two toms pitch down at 40 yds. We had already said we were gonna do the "1, 2, BANG" countdown, but the toms were feeding slowly toward us. As you might know, the toms were side by side, their heads nearly touching, so I couldnt shoot cause I knew if I had, it would take em both out. So I wait-----and wait, for what seems like forever. Finally, at 33 yds, they get a little separation, and "1, 2, BANG", flop, flop.
