It was a cat and mouse game from daylight until 1130. I would go one way, they would go the other. The longbeards were gobbling nearly all morning too. Finally at 1130 these 5 jakes started chasing a longbeard around the upper field, I let out one yelp and they all came sprinting in to me. The biggest longbeard that I had seen was in the lead and I shot him at 40 yards. After the shot the jakes hopped on him and started pecking and kicking him, then the other longbeards came running in and got on him kicking him too! They finally realized something wasnt right since he wasnt fighting back and left out of there. Amazing Morning! Many thanks to Mr. Ford on this bird. He was 19 pounds, 9.5 inch beard and 1 1/4 inch spurs

Congrats Steven and if I remember correctly your season has been a little rough so far, well deserved kill.
It has been tough as far as there being very few turkeys on the farms I normally hunt but Ive still managed to kill 2 longbeards and passed a gadzillion jakes, so I cant say its been horrible, just not near what it once was.
