Was talking to Dad this evening and he was down were we hunt today. Said he saw a hen and three little ones before they ducked into the grass. No tellin how many little ones was with her. Glad to see they are hatching out!

Freaking things are everywhere. I have been seeing a ton the last few days. Tiny little suckers, only a day or two old. Hopefully it will stay hot, and relatively dry which it appears likely.

Wet conditions coupled with cold weather (even cooler) can lead to hypothermia in turkey poults.

Did not know that! Well it came an awfull storm last night but maybe they will survive!

Poults can tolerate more wet weather than you would imagine .Cold weather when they hatch and before their downy feathers dry out is a bigger detriment.
