Saw turkeys today

Headed home from the farm and off in one of the fields I see 2 birds.

Turn around as 1 appeared to be strutting.

Sure nuff 2 long beards, only 1 strutted and was walking circles around the other, the 2nd bird was real passive.

Pretty cool to watch'em

Im waiting for the 7 longbeards behind my house to start struttin. Love watching the behavior up close, but so far their competition has been real subdued. I am curious to see how they act when the hens are ready.

I think I know too, I recognize him by his beard and the snood hangs about half way down instead of pointing straight up.
