Had a great morning in the woods of central Florida. I have used the same strategy every year for the last 5 or so years. I put a hen decoy on the ground with a jake decoy on top of her in a mating position. Every year, a few soft purrs get their attention but when they see the jake on top of the hen, they absolutely GO MAD!!!! Once they spot those decoys, they drop their strut and run directly in to the decoy. Rolled him at about 25 yards. The second turkey jumped on the other one after the shot. I am saving him for my little man next year though.
