Yet another year with no turkey. Hunted public land only this year and could not seal the deal. I came close several times but those birds do not act like birds on private property. I even had one within about 100 yards this morning that would not come out of the woods. He stayed and gobbled for over an hour and a half then shut up and disappeared. It's pretty depressing to go out there and spend hour after hour and day after day only to come home empty handed again. Then you guys are limiting out and make it seem easy.

Anyways, I'm kind of glad it's over so I can work on things I NEED to work on before deer season.

It can get frustrating. Don't give up though, you will get them next year.

I worked harder for my four tn birds this than I can ever remember. Don't give up. It will happen.
