Scout scope

Anyone use one for deer hunting?

Pros and cons vs a traditional set up?

I recently purchased a Savage Scout rifle in 450 Bushmaster and topped it with a Burris 2.75 fixed power scout scope. I like the extended eye relief and the ability to keep both eyes open while aligning on a target or deer. I have always been a fan of peep sites, this to me is close to being best of both worlds, magnification and field of view.

Ive been thinking of buying one. Not sure the red dot isdoing it for me. Maybe a magnifier?

I tried a red dot wasn't a fan but I may have not give it a fair shake
