First gobble at 6:03 am. One of those that makes you scratch your head. The birds actually started gobbling at 6:29 am. I heard 12 different birds gobble in 6 different roosts. I heard all this from one spot. It was a combination of a lot of birds and terrain that makes it easy to hear them from a long ways.

I left at 7:30 am with birds still gobbling occasionally. It appears the birds are starting to break up some as well.

I remember a bird years ago I nicknamed the "Quarter-Till" turkey. It was black-dark when that dude started gobbling every morning at 5:45...could almost set your clock by it.

May he rest in peace. :)

Last year, I had two birds that roosted on land I couldn't access, but I could hear them from where I hunted. They always seemed to gobble really well.

I was hunting public land, and I would get to my spot super early. One morning those two birds gobbled multiple times from 5:10 am to 5:15 am. They then went silent until other birds started to gobble after 6:15 am.

That was the earliest I have ever heard one sound off (approximately 1.5 hours before sunrise).
