If the playoff had been in effect for the past 8 years, would SEC teams still won seven NC's.I don't believe they would,if the BCS would have been in effect this year,Alabama would have been in Championship Game and everyone knows how big of a mistake that would have been

Well no, I don't know that the SEC would have won every year. I don't understand you saying everybody knows how big of a mistake that would have been though. OSU beat Bama by 1 TD, hardly a blow out. Now I think OSU is definitely proving they deserve to be in the NC game tonight. So really, do you think Alabama was that bad only losing to this team by 7?

Wrangler, are you ever going to quit crying about Alabama? You're getting to the point where you may need to speak with a professional.

The SEC finished 7-5 this bowl season, the most wins for any conference this year and the second highest winning percentage in the country. The Pac 12 went 6-2 in bowls, the "resurgent" Big Ten went 5-5, the ACC went 4-7 and the Big 12, erstwhile challenger for top conference in football according to some, went just 2-5. The SEC was one win away from setting an all-time record for conference bowl wins. If LSU's touchdown actually counts at the end of the first half against Notre Dame -- how the refs blew that call I still don't know -- or Auburn doesn't miss a short field goal or clang one off the upright in overtime against Wisconsin we're talking about eight or nine wins for the conference, a new record for college football.

My point about Alabama was they got beat and didnt reach the NCG.If the BCS was still in place this year Alabama would have been in the CG and Ohio State would not have been, case closed!!

The first college football playoff the 4th and final seed won the N/C game ( beat Bama and Oregon), I think that Alone proved the old school way of #1 Vs. #2 and all the other teams with 12-0 or 11-1 records are out because there schedule was not as strong was the wrong way to do things.

I think people liked the playoff system better and it will go from 4 to 8 teams sometime soon.

I for one like the playoff system we have now. I can't wait till it goes to 8 teams.

Yes,I said a few weeks ago that they need a eight team playoff,if that had been the case this year,TCU would have not gotten shafted
