SEC Shorts…

Pretty much hit all the points I was going to make in a thread yesterday and did not get around to it.
Texas A&M and ALABAMA BOTH had #1 and #2 recruiting classes and are both poised to have top level performances this season and should have everyone scared and shaking in their boots.

Another interesting note. Its been said for years (more like whining) on here that the main reason ALABAMA has been SO successful over the years is the money they have stashed away and fueled by trust funds ,slush funds and such dating back to the 70's (If all that is to be believed),, one would think ALABAMA would be able to keep up with Texas A&M with these NIL deals if they really wanted to.

I honestly think Nick Saban sees where this monster is going.

Good Ole Lane

A point Lane did not even make that is NOTABLE is that Texas A&M was not even RANKED in the NCAA top 25 teams last year Finishing 8-4 overall. They only got 115 Votes. A dismal Clemson team got 538 just to put it in perspective.

Its pretty clear what Nick (and Lane) is saying is true. They bought those players. Haters gonna hate.

But I'm sure they didn't buy any.

Bama isnt as mad about NIL as it is that Dodge is discontinuing the Charger. What kind of car will they give the players now? Got to have a big trunk to put all the cash they were used to giving.

Nick Saban had a really decent/ good run at LSU and if he had not had some really weird lopsided losses a couple of those seasons where he should have won then his record would have been stronger than it really was.

His entrance at ALABAMA was greeted with high expectations and great excitement. Not surprised at all at the level of recruiting after he came. Its not like they hired some washed up coach without a track record in the SEC.
