Got my second this year which makes my 3rd ever.
Had 2 big boys fly down where they normally do with a handful of hens. Of course they didn't wanna play. Told myself to wait 15 more min and heard a gobble from another direction. He showed up and came to about 80 yards then walked off. Waited about 15 more minutes and got up. Heard about gobble from where the last one walked so I crept through a couple fields towards him. Peaked into the last field and spotted a hen. I figured she might have something with her so u backed up and followed a deer trail to the top corner of the field. When u got about 10 yds from the edge of the field I spotted a red head about 40 yds in front of me. Dropped my decoy, took a knee, and dropped the hammer.
Another Jake. Owner wants them thinned out. And I'm happy to oblige!
Hopefully get a big boy next.
