Oh ya ................. you guys in Franklin TN(the high dollar area)have the dough to have those nice pets! ;)
corn was less than $7 a bag last time i bought it, and I just finished the last bits of the bag and watched the birds eat it right by the deck. Now I don't know if I want to keep feeding them or not, with turkey season approaching... I guess the neighbors bird feeders would still make it illegal to kill one in the yard, so I might just keep feeding em. They aren't tame but are accustomed to people. YOu can tell they are still paranoid birds. A hen came right through and mingled for a minute and none of them were interested for some reason. A few days ago there were 2 groups of 2 longbeards fighting, today there were 4 longbeards all together, also a jake and a hen and they only were interested in food.

I still say ol Catman gonna bust one if these backyard birds....
not in the backyard, it would have to be in a nearby corner of the woods away from "bait" and still I doubt that happens unless I'm having a terrible season...

Start banging on the bucket when you feed them, so when you are ready to kill one all you will need to do is bang on the bucket and they will come running.
That's what Frank G does.... They chase his truck down the rd.. Lol

Oh ya Roost,
My bucket list aside, I have seen images posted where the birds are in a fenced in area  . Gives a new meaning to "shooting fish in a barrel" at least mine are free roaming! :D :D

Catman,
Its a matter of economics, you guys spend a lot of $$$ on ammo. I just slam on the brakes; They run into the back bumper. Toast
