this is why turkey hunting is no challenge for me. I took this picture five minutes ago. There were two more big longbeards with a hen too far to get a good shot with the lense I had on. These three were maybe 30 yards away. I had on a white T-shirt and blue jeans-my favorite camo.

Hey, I am wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans right now (no joke), do you mind if I head over to your place in about 9 days or so? ;)

Thats a great pic bowriter but I hate to say it but if you hunt wild turkeys, not being tamed by living in urban areas, it would be much harder than going out in your white t-shirt and blue jeans and snappin a pic of em and sayin "ohh this is why i dont like to turkey hunt cuz its too easy". I wonder how you'd do on my farm here in East TN, its just about as hard as deer huntin to me....

The one in the back needs to move a little farther right and then they all three need to break out of strut and stick their heads up. :D

I hunted wild turkeys for about 15 years, maybe more in I guess maybe 10 states. I hunted them with bow, shotgun and muzzleloader. I never did care much for it. Enjoyed the weather and getting out but as far as hunting them, never did much for me. And I agree, about as hard as deer hunting, just ot near as good to eat.

Turkey hunting is much harder than deer hunting. Any yahoo that can shoot a scoped rifle can kill deer. To kill turkeys you have to have some clue about what you are doing or be with someone that does (at least in the places I have hunted).

Swampy- You missed the point  That was not a literal statement. However, in the counties around here, it may well be easier to kill a turkey than a deer. We are overloaded with both. I have about 25 deer staying around the house.
