have seen long beards and jakes last 2 shed hunts, reminds me spring turkey hunting is around the corner, now if only I can get up early and sit in the woods just to hear one gobble. Might have to do that soon. Time to start practicing on the calls I guess too. I don't use them all winter and could use a little brushing up to make sure I don't make the wrong squawk when I am calling mr. paintbrush.

I know it's a crappy pic, but the other time was just a flock of jakes in a clearing and nobody here cares about jakes Who would waste a tag on one?

Saw my first flock since season ended on Friday... Looked like 6 long beards in a flock of 25-35.
