Do you think there is a chance that Heupel could hire him on as defensive coordinator? Head coaches get fired and go on to be a coordinator somewhere else all the time.

From a VFL. Saban ain't going no where until he says he's done.
He's not getting fired.
No chance. Donor money would run dry very quickly. Also, Saban's ego will never allow him to work for another coach again. This is the last stop for Saban. He will retire from Bama and rightfully so. Love him or hate him, he brought that program back to dominance and will always be revered by the fanbase (and their sisters/wives)
You never really know. The game seems to be passing him by and it doesn't look like he has the same passion for it. He may start losing 2-3 every year and then recruiting will take a big hit.
Then he will retire. Become an announcer / analyst.
