I will be fighting Roy Nelson on 1-1-11 in Las Vegas Nevada. The fight will be the C0-Main Event of the Edgar Maynard rematch.

I think Roy is a tough opponent for anyone. He has been in several
main event situations and has fought a lot of veterans in the sport. I
am honored to be fighting again and feel like Roy is a worth opponent.

My goal for the fight is to be exciting and go home with the win. I
have a lot to prove as does Roy so this should make for a great fight.

Thanks for all of your continued support.

I don't think Nelson stands a chance. I've been wanting to see him get his butt kicked. that edgar maynard fight should be a goodun.

Aww...no love for big country? He's a better grappler, and might have a conditioning (endurance) advantage. If he can keep his chin away from Carwin's cinder block fists, he may just have a chance.

I hope the Edgar, Maynard fight isn't as boring as it could potentially be. I'll be cheering for Edgar. I just hope to see something other than a wrestling match this time. I would really like for Edgar to be able to stuff takedowns and utilize his superior boxing skills.

I Wish Gomi and Guida weren't fighting each other because I like them both. They are so different stylistically, that I'm not sure how to predict this one. Gomi is a superb wrestler, and an effective yet unconventional striker. He has had conditioning issues in the past, but he usually has a size and strength advantage. Guida never has conditioning issues, and is a great grappler, but I'm not sure he can hang with a "motivated" Gomi in striking exchanges.

Silva and Vera is very intriguing to me. These are two excellent fighters who just can't seem to put it all together. They are both killers in the gym, but encounter problems and setbacks in the real show. Vera is the more talented standup fighter, and Silva is more threatening on the ground. I would like to see the fight stay on the feet where Vera may be able to display his more technical and diverse striking skills.

I don't know what to say about Leben and Stann. I think there will be a lot of punching in that one.

Big Country don't have a chance! Carwin has a lot to prove and wants to get back on top! He has been working on his endurance a lot and plans to come into his next fight lighter and faster! He plans on being a lot better fighter so I don't see it lasting any longer if that than the Mir fight! :D

Carwin should win the fight easily but so should have Dos Santos when he fought Nelson. Dos Santos beat the crap out of Big Country for 3 rounds. He never could put him away. He won a unanimous decision but he couldn't finish Nelson.

IF Nelson is still stranding after round one, and IF he is able to get Carwin gassed out beating on him in round one. Nelson might be lucky enough to finish Carwin off while laying on him and punching his head like he did Kimbo Slice on TUF.

Nelson is smart enough to count the strikes, Carwin should have counted the unanswered strikes on Lesner.

I still pick Carwin to win, but Nelson has a chance if all the IF's happen.
