Shoot while strutting?

I will try to break his strut, but will kill him full strut, half strut, no strut, running, walking, standing still, flying, sitting in a a tree, swimming a river...don't make no difference to me...

I dont not shoot because I worry about tearing up the breast but because of the chance to miss! I always get him to raise his head

Head up, but not because of worrying about the meat. They are easier to miss.

A calm-voiced "Hey Tom" will do the trick every time!

and the shot didn't (partially or mostly) destroy the breast?

Never been an issue. One shot is all i have ever found in a breast.

Only time I've had a problem tearing the meat up is on a broadside shot.

I like 'em to come out of strut first and then break their neck. If strutting and that was the only shot I had I would hammer him then if he was close enough and preferably facing me.

Same here.I shot one in full strut at 14 yards last year
