Alright fellas. I decided that shooting with a tab might be something to move away from. I'm not able to shoot more than 15 or so shots without getting blood blisters on my middle finger. I figured that shooting daily/ever other day would help, but over a few months, the callus still hasn't proved strong enough. So I tried a shooting glove, and have tried that for a few months without being able to get consistent releases. Plus, I lost a bit of feeling in the tip of my ring finger. Anyone else have issues shooting a glove?

Sounds rather sever, maybe I get a little tender but nothing that harsh.

I dont really know what to tell ya, always liked a tab pretty good, even used to shoot my compound with a tab, gloves never turned me on, caused me to pluck the string whne I released.

I know its kind of aganst the grain but if I was have'n that kind of trouble I'd use a release, if it helps you enjoy shoot'n & helps with accuracy who cares, do what works for you.

I cant get this outta my head... maybe the tab your use'n aint thick enuff, or try one with better grade materials, what kind/brand are you use'n if I mite ask ??

Caluses, I've never had a calus or got blood blisters from shoot'n my boys, something aint rite.

You might be onto something with the tab being shabby, I've never even looked at buying another one - probably had this one for 15 years? The glove I bought off of 3Rivers last spring though.

Come to think of it I did get a sore finger from a tab, think'n it was the inside of my index finger wher it rubbed the metal on the nock, just now thought about it.

As far as draw weight goes I had a 60 pound recurve & dont remember it be'n worse than my 50 pound I shoot now, I'd try ask'n someone over on trad gang, surely with all the people over ther they will have some food for thought.

The tabs I bought were always teh cheapos, never had a good one, every glove I tried just didnt feel rite, actually wrap a bandaid around the tips of my fingers for a while, they were prone to get'n pulled off but man were they slick.

I had problems when the tab didnt cover the end of my fingers.
i shoot 3 under so it was my bottom finger that had problems.
