Anyone have any favorite items or ways to shoot well without a peep sight? I confess I shoot better with one, but I would love to get rid of the peep. I have a NO PEEP and a HIND SIGHT and they work ok. I have only gone back to a peep the last 2 years and I am still not that happy, especially for deer hunting the last five minutes of the day.

I've never had a problem with being able to see out of a peep sight, but I wanted to try not having one so I tried the anchor site years ago and just couldn't deal with having to constantly look at two different objects, so the peep went back in and I've never thought twice about it. Could your peep sight be too small, not allowing enough light in?

You could try this. Put something like a kisser button, brass nock, or serving material to make a reference point that when you are at full draw, and at your anchor point, is in the corner of your mouth. Next, after you are at full draw aiming just like you are fixing to take the shot, have someone mark the string where your nose just contacts the string. Now you can either put a brass nock or use serving just something you can feel as a reference point ( instead of a peep you just have a different type of reference point ). What you have done is to create a 3 point anchor. You have your drawing hand back and anchored and the string is hitting your face in 2 spots. I did this several years ago and once you get used to it it works great. Peeps and sights are much better now so I went back to a peep.
