I'm looking to get a new lightweight short threaded barrel 308. Right now I have it narrowed down to 3. I have handled all of the ones I have listed and I like all of them. Just seeing if anyone has any experience with any of these or know of something similar I haven't seen yet.

Springfield Redline 2020
Christensen Arms ridgeline scout
Sig sauer cross trax

I don't have any experience with the three you listed, sorry. I bought a Steyr Scout .308 a few years ago hoping it would fill the same need you have, but it is a big disappointment weight-wise. Shoots awesome though.

Browning makes a suppressor ready lightweight x-bolt .308, and even announced carbon fiber barrels at SHOT show last week. I have an x-bolt fluted stainless in 30-06 and love it.

Savage has a new 110 ultralight Back country Extreme with a Proof carbon fiber barrel. Website shows it to be 5.8 lbs. Supposedly the new Australian company who bought Barrett Firearms last years has said they hope to bring back the Fieldcraft bolt action rifle this year. Unfortunately the price will probably be through the roof as there is a large pent-up demand for them.

I actually got mine in 6.5 prc because my local gun shop did not have it in 308. The gun shoots really good and balances good with the suppressor on it. I also have the wilderness ridge sp which is 18in but heavier in 308 but the fsp feels better with the suppressor

the fsp was a dealer exclusive so gunbroker is the easiest place to find them the 300 wm fsp had a 22 in barrel

I would like to see one of those redlines. This is one I built out of a tikka t3x compact, had the barrel cut down to 16.5, stock painted then put my dead air nomad ti and a Zeiss v4 on it
