My bow is a Bowtech Equalizer 28" draw/60lb. I have been shooting 28" arrows but they appear way too long because after the broadhead is screwed on, the arrow sticks out past the bow's sight. Ive decided I want to get my arrows cut down shorter. I have a whisker bisc. and from what Ive read, cutting the arrow 1" to 1.75" from where the rest contacts the arrow shaft at full draw would be fine safety wise because of the broadhead. But doing this with my setup would make my arrows 24.5" long which seems way too short IMO. I understand that cutting the arrow down is more than likely going to hurt my kinetic energy even though it will be faster by a few fps.

My question is, with my setup cutting 1" from the rest would make my arrows 25.5". Would this be stable enough to still give decent accuracy or would it still be too short? The arrows are Gold Tip 5575 Extreme Hunters with blazer vanes.

I have the exact same setup as you, but im pullin 65#. im a 28"draw, bowtech allegiance, and i got my arrows cut at 26" from end of nock to insert. Man they fly great

I shoot 28" DL at 60lb DW on a bowtech captain. My arrows are 28" long from the throat of the knock to the tip of the insert. Just switched to Gold Tip Velocity XT total weight of 340 gr. shooting a 100gr head. @280 fps 59.3lb KE (enough to kill anything in North America). Don't know if that helps

Cutting your length down a couple inches or so will stiffen the spine of your arrow and could effect flight and FOC. Maybe not but it could. Some bows are more spine tolerant than others. You might want to just cut one and try it before cutting them all.
