I was in Bass Pro today and decided to shoot a few bows. I only shot ones in my price range, that way I wouldn't fall in love with one I couldn't afford. Shot the Redhead kronik, G5 Quest 31, Bear Showdown, Parker Legend, and Redhead XSC 33. It came down between the Quest and the XSC, and the XSC won. Now, I didn't walk out with it because i still don't have the money. Has anyone ever shot one or know anyone who owns one, or does anyone have a suggestion of another $350-400 bow to shoot and see if i like?

check out the mission eliminator 2. i own a mission and love it. and have heard great things about the eliminator 2

I bought the redhead kronik 2 years ago,was my first bow ever,it shoots great and has held up very well..I love mine,I plan to get alot of more years out of it..And someone else on here has teh kronik..Can't remember who it was..They are good bows..

I would also look at the Mission line. Also, if you know what you want and need, you might want to check out the archerytalk classifieds. You can whole lot of bow for $350-400 and not just used bows either.

I've never shot that exact bow. But I've heard alot of good, and very little bad about it.

I've used AT before, but only bought bows that I had already shot. I wouldnt buy something before I shot it.. just my 2 cents.

Ditto what cecil said!

I also have the Kronik! Great bow for the money! Had mine for 2 years and no problems! Love that bow!

fyi Bowtech makes bass pro bows.

If you live in mtown try toms sporting goods. They have a good selection of used bows and i think they have some Hoyts in that price range. 423-581-3811

About 2 miles down lakeshore road on your right.(off 25e) I will post phone # when i get home. I shoot mathews, so thats who i deal with.

I have owned many bows. Several high end. I just bought my THIRD in a row Parker Wildfire XP. It is new, but a 2009 model. Lifetime warranty. There is a newer 2010 model that is also a great bow but I am partial to the 09< models. I paid 319.00. It has almost 8 inch brace ht. and shoots GREAT!!!

im wanting a new pse bow maddness!or maybe one of those new bears they look interesting.

NEVER buy a bow on looks alone. find somebody that will let you shoot it.

I have 2 mission bows, the eliminator and the UX2, both '09 models. I also have a mathews hyperlite. I will say that believe it or not, the eliminator is the best shooting of them all. It's the best kept secret of the mission bow line. IMO!

Not to jump in, but came out the yr after the dxt(2008), almost just like it. Has a cable guard instead of roller guard. Think it costs a little less.

I thought I would say also, that I have a Martin Saber. I've always had a soft spot for Martin. Although the saber is on the low end as far as martin bows, it's a real shooter. I got it at BPS, and then took it to the proshop and had them set it up. It holds its own against my other bows, and just a little more heat than the other bows. (speed) We are having a vegas round close to me this weekend, and it's going. It's a working man's bow and shoots great!
