And I dont know if ill ever take that shot again, Rage 3 blade went in on one side of the spine and exited in the oposing arm pit. Huge entry and exit hole and great blood. I waited 2 hours after I shot her and that dang deer went over 300 yrds before we found her. When I gutted her she didnt have the first bit of blood left in her. I destroyed one lung and nicked the other... Still dont know how or why she ran that far without going down somewhere. Might just have to pass up on them straight down shots next time but it was all I had to work with and it worked.

Hey it's easier to hit-um if on straight down shots you use your 40yrd. pin (not kidding try it) at lest you found her it worked and you can make any shot you practice and are sure of. One of my buddies pulled off a "Texas Heart Shot" not my first choice but worked for him.

I shot one straight down last year. My arrow was eight feet from the tree. One lung deer ran a good ways. Not the best shot opportunity, but I'll take it.

shot one like that a few years ago she ran off with the arrow sticking str8 up waving at me never found her or that 12 dollar acc never do that one again

I shot a doe last year straight down...entered on one side of the spie and into the opposing shoulder. Fletching still showing and I shoot a 75lb. bow. Arrow must have hit right in the middle of the shoulder not a drop of blood. Saw her run off for about a hundred yards not a drop of blood. I Looked for a week never did find her. Will never take that shot again. Glad you found her.
