Here was shot number 1. All of these were shot at a tape measured 120ft(40yds).

Hevi-13 3.5" 2 and 1/4oz #7's

Here was shot 2. The guy I was shooting at got pen happy on my target and threw me off when I started counting outside of my 10". But I deducted them once I realized I did so.

This was the very first shot out of that new Pure Gold choke.

Here's one I shot from a MAD Max .680 I just bought off gunbroker for about $29. This was with 3.5" Hevi-13 2 and 1/4oz #6's.

Might I suggest trying that MAD choke tube with only 2 oz. of shot instead of 2 1/4. I shoot Winchester Supreme #6 with 2 oz out of my Mossberg 835 with the same MAD choke. I believe you will get a much better pattern. Best of luck to ya.

Thanks for the suggestion. Let me show you why the heavier payloads are where it is at in the 835 and my experience shooting lots of loads over the years pretty much tells me most guns will pattern better numbers in the 10" and 20" circles with the bigger payloads.

Compare this Hevi-13 3" 2oz #7 load with the Hevi-13 3.5" 2 and 1/4oz #7 load in the second picture above. It's a no brainer why I like the 3.5" loads. I have found the same thing goes for lead loads as well.

That's almost 100 shot difference between the 2.

Oh and the 2nd pattern and the last pattern were both shot from the same Pure Gold .670 choke.
