I am strongly considering putting a scope on my rifled barreled 870. The gun has been surprisingly accurate with open sights but it is getting harder and harder for me to see the sights and low light hunting with open sights is next to impossible for me. I want something in a 2-7 or maybe even 1.5-5 range. I don't use this gun a ton but keep it around for my Yankee state hunts and occasionally around here where I know shots will be close. Give me your recommendations for what you have used.

Vortex makes a neat little Diamondback in 1.75-5 power that would fit the bill.

My suggestion is any fixed 4x or a red dot. I killed 10 deer with a Bushnell fixed 4x on my muzzleloader. Just never saw the need for more or less amplification.

I had a leupold 1.75 x 6 on mine I liked that well. I changed to a eotech red dot. I like that even better.
