should the playoffs have more then 4 teams?

I know they would not want college football teams playing alot of games in a season. young guys getting beat to heck and hurt. but I can see them making it a top 8 playoff instead of top 4. For teams like
TCU and Baylor heck if FSU would have lost to Georgia tech there only loss in 2 years they would have not finished in the top 4. So many teams go 11-1 or 10-2 sometimes even 12-0 sometimes its hard to always base it mostly off SOS. ask TCU who was in the 3ed spot and beat the team that was on there schedule bad and dropped 3 spots?? I think.

Do you guys think more then 4 teams should make the playoffs?

I think 8 teams make sense. Take the conference champion from the big 5 (SEC, ACC, Big 10, Pac 10, and Big 12) and 3 at-large bids.

I think 8 teams would work but there will never be a perfect system because there will always be debates about teams on the bubble no matter what # they come up with.

I don't agree with the 5 conference champs. Just because you win your conference doesn't mean your one of the best teams in the country.

Exactly,conference champs are not always one of the top 4 teams.I believe it will get strong consideration of having a 8 team playoff in the near future!
