Sick Buck?

Why would this little buck look so malnourished with so much food? EHD? You can see its ribs, hips, and spine. Doesnt look good.

He's fine. It is not uncommon at all to see a deer look like that at this time of year.

I know its very young, just looks under weight compared to the others on our place in the same age range.

Not at all uncommon to see deer with ribs showing in summer. I think it's more that we hunters are used to seeing deer in the fall, when they're loaded with body fat.

Yeah I have a very similar buck at my camera. I call him funny horn - 1 spike and 1 nub. Very thin and bony, but doesn't appear sick...
