Sight Tubing

I put a new piece on tubing on my peep sight. It is putting a beating on the string just above the sight. The old one didn't do this. Any ideas why this is happening?

Is it the same length as the old tube? If it's a little too long it can slap more.

Are you doing your own work? You should be able to get a peep set so that you don't have to mess with tubing. Any of the shops in the area should be able to help you.

It's pretty close, maybe even a very little bit shorter. My bow guy told me to cut a 12" piece and put it in the same place. I tried to make sure it was the same lenght. Don't want to make any big changes untill the end of season. spent a lot of time getting tuned up.
