The sight I have on my bow is one where you can slide it forward or backwards on a slide arm type. I left it where it was originally mounted. It is about 5 inches forward. I can extend it probably 4 or 5 inches more forward. I don't want to do that, but my questions is, is it better to have it where it is now, or slide it backwards, closer to my eye. I am shooting pretty good where it is now, but just wondering if it was closer, would it help me any. Plus by sliding it, would it change the sight as to where I am hitting the target now. It don't pivot up or down, just slide forward and backward. Thanks,,,,

Moving it, depending how much, can have an effect on the point of impactyou may need to redjust the sight after the move. As far as should you move it out or not I will tell you this, the further out the sight goes the less stable the pins will be over the target. The closer to your eye the sight is will result in a stable pin acquisition of the target.

Personally, my hunting sight is close enough that when I am at full-draw, and completely anchored, the outer ring of my sight matches up with the outer ring of my peepit is another conformation that I am correctly anchored, and that is what I recommend for anyone that is hunting.
