How many of you saw the silver gobbler and 2 hens on the side of the road leaving Henry Horton Sunday morning?

He had about an 8" beard.... coolest thing!!!

Seen them back around november. We actually had a copper phase bird killed on my lease few years ago.

DANG I had to leave Saturday around 3.30pm, sucks I had to miss that, must have looked awesome. I saw about 10 turkeys back in the primitive campsites when I drove through to check it out on Saturday during lunch break, but no, didn't see the silver one. Now I am itching to get back out there! Just to get a glimpse...

Leave that turkey alone. I got dibs on him. Been feeding him all year at the A-frame pavilion with corn. STAY AWAY FROM HIM! He's mine

They come in many color phases.

Wingnut, is he on land you can hunt? Can I hunt with you just to see you kill him? I won't steal him... unless TurkeyBurd knows where he's at.... ;)

I want to see pics of this gobbler at least. And if one of you kills him then you gotta post it here. Where's that "this thread is useless without pics" icon when I need it....

and hawk that is a cool looking bird, interesting how only he beard was normal color.

Nah catman I've never even seen that bird. I live about 15 minutes from Horton and was just messing around. I know TurkeyBurd real well and we hunt around the same area, not the same spots but close. He's a good dude and if anyone can put you on a bird he can. Maybe I will see ya around. I was at the PreVous, couldn't make it Saturday or we would have met then.

All I can say now is that I hope I see one some day while hunting. And I agree wingnut. maybe we'll meet sometime during the season...I'll be hunting in Maury co and with turkeyburd so will be in the area a lot this spring.
