I went ahead and took my G5 peep out and had my tube peep put back in,it was too much trouble getting it to turn right,if I had my own press I probably would have kept it in..Anyway,is there a certain way to tie a peep in so it doesn't slide up and down the string? Because the way the shop tied in my peep now,it is sliding up pretty bad..The serving they tied it in with,is sliding pretty freely also..Ever since I've had my bucknasty string installed it has thrown every thing out of whack..Gonna take it to another shop and see if they can tie it in a little better for me...I really should learn to do it myself though...

Just measured my bow and it it over 1/4 inch out of spec..So do I just have the bow shop twist my string or what?

Tying peeps is a snap. You really should check the net. I found instructions that were simple yet effective. I assume when you say out of spec you mean the ATA. A quarter inch isn't horrible, but it aint great either. I would say that what you are experiancing is string stretch or break-in period. That's why everything seems out of whack including your meta-peep. When I put new string and cables on I shoot at least 100 arrows before I add anything to the string. With out a press you won't be able to do much with it, but a shop can get you fixed up. But hey no sweat these issues you're having are minor. Hope this helps.

Yeah it is the ATA when I said out of spec...Gonna take it tomorrow to a new shop up the road...

dont know how far you want to travel, but George Brock is the Archery Pro at East End Pawn and Archery shop in Middlesboro, KY (60 miles north of Knoxville or 40 miles east of Lafollette. He is one of the leading regional sellers of Matthews Bows and he knows his stuff inside and out.If you want his #, let me know and I'll be happy to get it for you.
