It was cold this morning! 14 degrees when I pulled up and parked!
Shot this doe at 9:05! I had a chance at a bigger doe before this one came through but I couldn't get her to stop! She was 30 yards away and I let out 4 grunts to try and stop her! She never even looked my way! I sat down after she went through and thought well there went my chance for the morning! Bout 5-10 minutes later 5 more does came off the ridge coming right to me! They were really spooky though. Took them an easy 10 minutes to cover 75 yards. They finally made it down to about 20 yards and the lead doe was still on alert. I thought alright I will just let the 4 go on by and then try and get the last one! All four went by without smelling me or spotting me But I'll be danged if that last doe didn't stop and look right at me! Well we went through the whole deal! Head snapping back and forth, foot stomping, and staring at me the whole time. that went on for about 30 seconds and she turned and trotted off to catch up with the rest of the group. But she made a misteak! She ran right into my last shooting lane at 30 yards! I grunted twice and when she stopped and looked I sent a meat seeker her way! She was heavily quartering away. The arrow went in about half way back and came out her offside shoulder!
She ran 50 yards and piled up in some power lines!

Geat morning to be in the woods!!!
