Snake season?

I didn't want to hijack the thread about which snake boots so I will ask here. Is it the season for snakes to be out? I hadn't considered my snake boots for my Chuck Swan hunt Thursday.

They're liable to be out any time it's warm. They don't bother me, I just hope I don't step on a rattlesnake

I've seen one. It was just a garden snake though.

Saw 3 last thursday but I never wear snake boots anyways.

They are out.
I saw a cotton mouth the other day while fishing.

Haven't seen one yet but I'm sure they are out I don't wear snake boots though. We see anywhere from 10-30 rattle snakes a year around the house seems around April first is when we see the first one.
