I have been counting down the days until opening day!!been getting my calls out and going to get a vest from bass pro and mabe a few other things but until then tell me you favorite turkey hunting stories

I will have work 5-close as usual at the restaurant 1/2 mile from my house, and as soon as I get off on friday night I'll hit bed and sleep till 3.30 and then get up and hunt as long as I can, either till I kill a bird or till 3pm or so, when I'll head back home in time to get ready for work again.

well if it has been anything like the past 5 years in middle TN it will be cold, raining and windy on opening day again :)

(hasnt stopped me from getting #1 on opening day though lol)

sure would be nice to have a opener that was actually warm and wind free though.

My brother has a fishing tourney on opening day :D

LOSER
i'm fishing the BFL on priest on the opener but there will be plenty of season left to bag some turkeys so i'm not to worried about it. i hate missing opening day though!

My question is.....WHY schedule a tourney in TN on opening morning of turkey season? Surely a lot of fishermen also hunt, myself included. Oh well I guess things just work out like that sometimes. Never tourney fished myself. I like it quiet somewhere down a trail fishing off the bank in the Harpeth river. Can't beat it sometimes.

i wish they wouldn't and small clubs usually don't but the bigger ones that are sponsored just schedule whenever they want.
