Does anybody use one. I have one of the hard plastic type. but it is so big and bulky. I was looking at the soft cases on cabelas website and thought about buying one. Any thoughts?
Thanks Smokin

I have several hard plastic cases that I no longer use. For TN I use a soft case. Like Radar said much easier to pack and takes up less room. If I go out of state I have a skb flight case.

i just don't trust the soft cases to protect my bow.
I have never had any problems with soft bow cases over the years . I wouldn't use one for airline travel ,but for toting a bow in the truck , they work fine .

Same setup here. Soft case for local stuff, hard case for traveling.

I have a Bob Allen soft case that I've had for quite a while but haven't used in several years since I bought a hard case. There's a pocket on the outside for your arrows that I was always paranoid about. Just couldn't get the idea out of my head that I was crushing the fletchings or bending them somehow. The price tag of $59.99 is still on it and it's in great shape. I'd let it go cheap if you're interested in it. If so let me know and I'll take some pictures and email them to you. I'm going to try and make the vous tonight so I could take it with me but won't be there tomorrow because of my daughter's b-day party.

If I'm just traveling from point a to point b, I just use a Primos bow sling. All I really want is something to protect the cams and string. It does a fine job at that. I'm pretty rough with my equipment and haven't had any problems from using just the sling for about 4 years now.

I'm assuming most everyone uses a case for transport purposes , not carrying a bow through the woods in a case .
What do you do when you put it in the truck ? I would worry about my sights getting knocked off during transport .

I didn't put my thought into words very well. It's not the first time I've done that. Sometimes I just get to typing on this thing, and by the time I'm done, none of it makes sense.

I use the sling when I'm transporting my bow in the truck. I don't really worry about my sights, rest, etc. because it's literally just laying there on the seat. My bow get alot more abuse in the field than in the truck, and I hunt solo 95% of the time, so I don't have to worry about someone else throwing stuff on it. I also use it as a test method to be sure my equipment can stand up to some abuse. If it can't, it needs replaced with something that will. I normally remove the sling to carry it through the woods.
