The average distance between distinct home-range compartments for mobile bucks was 4.4 miles!
I keep preaching how "my" bucks are also "someone elses", but very few hunters want to believe "their" bucks are also considered "someone elses" over a mile away. Very common for two hunters running trail cams over a mile apart to be getting regular pictures of the same buck!
Blows me away how so many hunters believe wherever they're getting pics of a particular "target" buck is the spot they're going to kill it. That "target" buck is often killed a couple miles away, and multiple people hunting it are all left wondering what happened to it.
